So here is an update on one more day of our trip. On Monday, the 22nd of Dec, we went to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA. My dad took us with my brothers Ed and John, and Ed's son Justin. Here is a great picture right in front of the factory. Once we got in for the tour, though, they didn't allow any more pictures.
So here are a few pictures of waiting in line and out in the lobby before we began the tour. This one is just a semi-candid picture of Ed, Justin, Anna and Lillie as we were all standing in line for the tour.
The factory was all decorated for Christmas with trees, ornaments, nutcrackers and all kinds of other fun stuff. Here's our little family enjoying the Christmas cheer.
Here is another one with one of the giant nutcrackers. You can tell by our big grins that we have already had our free jelly beans and have bought our own to take home with us. They were having a great sale and we got two pounds of jelly bellys for $1.00!! They are normally two pounds for $9.00 or more. What a deal! Lillie was distracted by the big grin of the nutcracker. Behind us was the "taste test" counter, where they have a ton of flavors that you can ask to try for free. Stuff like 7up, Dr. Pepper, Mango, Kiwi, and many many many more.
Since Lillie doesn't have enough teeth to chew a jelly bean, they gave us a free gummy worm, which Lillie loved! Here she is devouring it. She is definitely my daughter since she loves gummy worms.
Here are Mom and daughter just after the tour got over. We were required to wear silly hats on the tour, I guess for sanitary reasons. Lillie wouldn't keep hers on though.
Here is Lillie and her cousin Justin sitting down after the tour. Lillie really liked Justin because he would always play with her. She would get so excited when she saw him.
Well, that is long enough for today. Jelly Bellys are great. We had a fun time with my dad and everyone. We then went out to Round Table pizza afterwords, which is the best pizza ever for those that haven't tried it. We then had an evening at my brother Marc's place. To come: San Francisco, bowling, Christmas, etc.
