Small update

So we've been on vacation since I finished school last month. We moved into our new place and have pretty much gotten settled in. We love our new place. It's awesome. After getting a little settled in, we took a trip down to Georgia for about a week and got back on about the 11th. It was a pretty long drive, and even longer with Lillie getting sick and throwing up all over about 3 hours away from Atlanta. We had to stop and clean everything up so we could drive without smelling the puke. We arrived alot later than we wanted. We did so many things and were spoiled by my aunt and uncle who live in Tyrone, just south of Atlanta. We spent time with them, as well as with my cousin Amber and her five year old daughter Anika. We had a blast. Lillie loved Anika. She followed her all over the place and they were like best friends. It was adorable.
They have a fire pit that they set up in their back yard and we roasted marshmallows and chased fireflies until it got too dark to see. Here's a pic of that. They have an old dog, Mozart, who is now deaf and getting older and slower. Lillie loves dogs, so she had fun, but Mozart didn't seem to like Lillie after a while of her poking and pulling. It was still great, though.Another day was spent climbing Stone Mountain just outside Atlanta. Anna and I, along with my Uncle Curtis and Aunt Marilee took the mile or so trek to the top of the mountain. It was great and the weather wasn't too hot, although it was still pretty hot and humid. Here we are at the top. Don't focus on our faces, cuz I look like a bum, but look at the view. It was gorgeous from way up top. Here was a candid picture I took of Curt and Marilee just as they were coming over the last really steep part of the climb. They did great for a couple of old folks. hehe. (They're really not that old, but to me they are old.) A couple days later we went to a Braves game at Turner Field. We had a great time watching the Braves just barely beat the Pirates 4-3 with a 2-run RBI in the bottom of the 8th inning. Here's the group (minus me taking the pic and Marilee guarding our seats). Left is my pregnant cousin Amber, then Anika, Curt, Lillie, and Anna.
Here is Lillie and Anika with me in front of the big Braves drum that they pound on during the game occassionally.Me and Lillie right above the Brave's pitcher's bullpen in right field. Not that we wanted to, but we could have spit on him over the rail if we wanted, but the rest of the Brave's fans wouldn't have liked that, I'm sure.

There is an area way up in the stands out in left field where there is place for kids to run the actual length from home plate to first base. It was interesting and entertaining and the girls took their turns running the base. Lillie needed a little help to find her way, so Anna and I took our turns helping her along. She made it!Here is Anika have her turn running the base.Cheese as we run. Looks like Lillie's having fun eh?This was just after the game near the exit. Lillie saw the huge baseball and we had to get a picture of it. She has a little one that she plays with at home, so she was super excited when there was an even bigger one that she could play with. Overall, it was a great time.Anyways, that was just one of our adventures so far. Once we get internet set up at our place, we'll be able to update things more often. We are leaving to go to Utah on the 30th of June and we'll be there until the 10th of July. Then I will be going off to Rhode Island for Navy Officer Training and Anna and Lillie will be going down to New Mexico to be with Anna's sister Gretta and her family while I am away. We'll be back in DC around August 14th. We are doing great! Hope to see ya if we can while we are in Utah if anyone of you will be there. See ya.
