For this Easter we had an Easter Birdie. While we were eating our Easter breakfast of blue berry muffins we heard a clutter in the fireplace. Doesn't Santa come for Christmas? Then there was an accompaniment of scratching and flapping in the chimney. The sounds lasted all day and began again this morning. Lillie has been getting a big kick out of it. Somehow a bird got into the chimney/wall and every time it would make an effort to get out Lillie would say "The animal's in there." We called an animal relocation service. They came and we found that the bird had managed to get in the wall.
You can see it, scared in the corner within our wall after cutting out the hole to get it.
Lillie loved this experience more than anything we did for Easter. But she still did have fun for Easter.
We are a part of a club for the medical school called Med-Families. We had a little Easter egg hunt a week before Easter. Lillie had so much fun with her friends.
This outfit was given to Sam and is for 9 months. Lillie spilled something on what she was wearing, then went and found this in the gift bag and put it on all by herself. She had me help her with the zipper, I thought it was so funny and she looks so cute.

On Easter, because of General Conference being broadcast on lds.org we didn't attend church, but I still wanted my babies to look cute so here they are in their Easter outfits.

This is also the first Holiday Lillie ate the candy we gave her. She liked the bunny.
During General Conference Lillie found fun ways to keep herself quietly entertained. Like "making tracks" (as she called it) on the carpet with her stroller. I wonder where she got that.
Dancing with dad while the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing. And many other creative ways a two year old can keep "quiet."
Between (and some during) sessions this was what we all did.
It was a fun and uplifting Easter Sunday. We also went to see the famous Cherry Blossom Festival of DC, but that report will come later.

SOOOOO Friggin' Cute!!!!!! I loved all the pictures I can't wait to see you guys next month.
Calling the "animal relocater" is such a great idea. We usually just tell ourself that we are completely capable of putting a garbage bag in front of the fireplace. Then slowly opening the door and allowing the bird to fly into the garbage bag.
And then we spend the next few hours chasing a bird around the house with a broom. Hoping that it will eventually notice the wide open door and make it's escape.
Next time...I'm calling an "animal relocator".
{Not that we aren't totally capable!}
{because we are!}
