We really lucked out when we moved here. California use to have a deadline for school for December 2nd. This school year 2012-2013 they have started a roll back where the deadline is going to slowly move to September 2nd. So this year the deadline was November 2nd next year will be October 2nd the the year after that will be September 2nd. Some school districts are skipping the roll back completely and starting it this year for September 2nd. Anyway the state started a program called transitional kindergarten for kids whose birthdays are Sep. 2nd -Dec. 2nd. Lillie was so ready for school, but I wouldn't have started her in kindergarten even if I could have. So she started school 5 days a week 4 hours a week. She loves it, she loves her teacher, and she loves her friends. It was a good choice for her.
Here she is on her fist day. She is such a beautiful girl I love her pose. We really lucked out that Mike had the day off so we all got to see her off.

Lillie did amazing. There were quite a few kids that cried and Lillie just kind of looked at them like, "what is their problem. " Note how Lillie is the only light haired child. Her class mostly consists of Hispanic and Asian children. It just shows the demographic of SoCal.
