CinderLillie and St. Patty's

Now that Lillie can walk, we have decided to put her to work! haha. just kidding. She always wants to do exactly what we are doing, and it's great. Sometimes it can make her upset though because she gets in the way and doesn't want to move. She's an awesome helper though. She didn't want her pretend vacuum, so we had to let her have the real one, which she enjoyed.We have also finally figured out a way for her to be involved while dad does the dishes, rather than have her hang out at my legs and scream until I pick her up, and then only have one hand and can't do the dishes anymore. This way, I can let her make a mess with water and soap (clean stuff!) and get the dishes done. She had to have mom's apron on too, which slightly prevented her from getting completely soaked.Because she was so helpful, there was a large puddle of water on the floor, so we "let" her wipe it up. She is very useful. The water dripped down the front of the cabinets, so we let her wipe that up too.Just for fun, here is a cool hair-do that Lillie had once after church. Isn't she cute?As for Saint Patrick's Day, we decided to go visit some fun museums at the Smithsonian. Once again, though, we forgot the camera, so these pictures are from the cell phone. With our bright green shirts, we went to see the National Air and Space Museum, which has tons of fun stuff for kids, and Lillie loved it. We can actually learn stuff too while the kids run around and play.Lillie had the best time sitting in the cockpit of an airplane that was on display. She grabbed the steering wheel and twisted and pulled and giggled. It became a slight problem when other kids started lining up and Lillie didn't want to leave. We had to pull her away screaming a couple of times and then get back in line. She loved it, though, as did we.When we got back, we made the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage that Anna's mom used to always make for St. Patty's. Anna did an awesome job in cooking it, especially for her first time doing it on her own. It was delicious!If you've never had it, you are missing out! I know it looks red, but it's cooked. That's the way it's supposed to be and we loved it! It will hopefully be a St. Patty's day tradition for us because I love to say "corned beef and cabbage" in a funny Irish accent.
