Little Girls! ODS Training

We have been having a blast in New Mexico. We thought Lillie might turn out be a tomboy, but after this trip she will be a princess through and through. Her cousins Emmie and Eva are very girlie and while here I have seen a big transformation in my little girl as she has discovered dressing up, princess movies, more hair bows then you can imagine, baby dolls and so much more.

Here is Emmie in her Snow White dress, so Lillie had to where the Cinderella dress too.

We haven't given our little one very much sugar, and by we I mean me, Mike is the sugar king, but Aunt Gretta just can't say NO to our little Lillie's "opsicle peas." In this heat everyone should have a Popsicle though.
She loves to dress up even her onsies.

One night when I went to put Lillie in her jamies she wanted the "incesses." She wore her princess jamies, borrowed from her cousins, so proudly to bed that night and here she is the next day not wanting to get out of them as she plays.
The pas few weeks Lillie has picked up on so many new and exciting words. Her vocabulary has just exploded and she loves saying her new words to daddy on the phone each day. She has also had and explosion of teeth in her mouth. First she got her eye teeth all in one week now that they have came in she is getting her second set of molars, she is such a trouper and does so well with her teeth coming in. I still can't believe she is now 20 months old, 2 is coming up so fast.

Mike only has 12 days left in his training and we are so excited for it to be over and our little family to be together again. He is right on an island and he love being able to look out at the water everyday.
He has two uniforms this one is for everyday and the white is for special occasions.
This is Mike at a Beach Boys concert they had last weekend.

I must warn our viewers Mike decided to grow a mustache while in training some of the next few images may disturber you, small children should look away.
Mike told me he was asking a question in one of his classes and his commanding officer stopped him mid-sentence and asked him "what is that thing above your lip." He got a kick out of that. He also has to do a uniform inspection once a week, and the commander inspecting him knocked him off for "being unshaven." They are allowed to grow mustaches and a group of guys all grow theirs out together, but the commander must have the same appreciations I have for my hubbies mustache. Mustache's are grows anyway, but Mikes' is SUPER grows.

The past few week Mike has been studying hard to learn about a lot of things that have to do with the Military and the Navy more specifically. He took two tested the past week to end this part of his training and he pasted with flying colors. As a treat his company has been granted a lot more liberties for the next two weeks. One of the biggest is they can go off base. Someone in his company had family near by that through a big bash for everyone this weekend. Later Mike went out with some friends to a restaurant and to the new Harry Potter. Now for the last part of his training, Mike will be learning about leadership things, I'm not really sure what it's all about just that Mike won't be tested on it. So it should be pretty easy.

I don't know what they stand for, but the OCS is for regular officers and ODS is for Doctors.

ODS= Officer development school for the staff corps (medical, dental, nurse, JAG, and nuclear instructors). OCS= Officer Candidate school for the line officers who will end up being able to command ships and subs and do other types of things that are more specific to the navy.

I've bought Brynlee princess dress up clothes, dolls, and other girly girl stuff, but she hasn't been that interested either. I guess she doesn't see Eva and Emmie enough. (hint, hint Gretta!)
