A few fun things that happened last month.
Lillie has NEVER liked ice cream before. To tell the truth, she really is not fond of sweets in general, so it's not that we have never offered, she just has never accepted. We went out to eat at Chick-Fil-A with some friends a few weeks ago and I think she gave into some peer pressure and ate almost the whole thing.
This is a little card Lillie made for her friend. She is really improving her drawing skills and she followed the dotted line to make to make the three.Lillie and Sam sitting in a part of their play kitchen. Lillie doesn't have a very happy face, but she really was having fun.
We went to the National Museum of Natural History and they have a butterfly exhibit. We went with Lillie's good friend Annabelle and her little brother Josh, you can see them in the background, they all had so much fun. They also got to hold a little caterpillar
Here is Lillie with the butterflies. We stayed in there for nearly an hour it was very humid but Lillie didn't care and she couldn't get enough.
The humidity didn't faze Sam either. This poor little butterfly landed on Sam's hand right as i was taking this picture. Then after the picture he squashed it, not to death but its poor little wings were all crumpled. Sam had so much fun running back and forth inside the little butterfly habitat and chasing the butterflies. This is the only one who got too close to him.
Sam LOVES LOVES LOVES blankets/fabric, he alway has. He loves to put fabric up to his little face so much sometimes he will even get into mom, dad, Lillie or his own drawer and grab whatever piece of clothing he can get his hands on and cuddle with it. This is Sam's crib after a nap one day. We had a pile of blankets next to his crib and he reached through the bars and pulled every last one in with him. Then he proceeded to pull the sheet off the bed in his room.Another example of Sam's blanket love. This pool is also a fun new thing around our home. I meant for it to go outside but the kids can't get enough of it in the house without any water in it.
Over the months of April and May, Sam was getting his molars. Tubes of tooth paste were his teething toy of choice. Really just the lids. We would screw the lids on nice and tight after using them because he would always find his way into the bathroom, climb up the stool (have I ever mentioned he is too tall for his own good.) and get his little hands on the toothpaste. He is so funny
These are Sam's other great loves. He actually learned to walk by holding on to two helium balloons. They gave him that extra boost of confidence he needed to take off on his own. PS he started walking just before he turned 13 months and he still can't get enough. (Literally, as you can see from these pictures at the grocery store.)
I wish I would have had the chance to get a picture of Lillie doing this earlier in her life. She has been going over to these little computers at the store since she was just over 2 years old and she will sit down and say she is checking her email.
Lillie went to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party a while back. She has been begging to go back. I give her little clear reward stones in a jar every time she does a chore around the house such as helping me with the dishes, cleaning up her toys, helping with Sam, etc. She filled her jar to the top and we took her there as a reward. The pizza is from Domino's so it wasn't all that bad and the kids had a lot of fun. Here is a picture from one of the rides.
Do you ever just look at your kids and just think they are the cutest things EVER? Well that is me every day. So here are a few pictures of the cutest things ever.

Wait...*you* took your kids to a butterfly exhibit. Did you go in with the butterflies??
My kids favorite teething toy is the top of an infant tythenol bottle. And I wish my kids didn't like sweets.
