Frandsen Family Reunion 2011

Pictures by Jill Tew

So we are in Utah. We started out our adventures here with the Frandsen Family Reunion in Gunnison from June 24-26. On the 24th, we stayed up until 1:30am making crepes for breakfast the next morning, since our branch of the family was assigned. It was Mike's crazy idea to make the crepes, so we used his recipe and they turned out great. They just took longer than we expected. The other thing was that Mike had some problems with his luggage arriving, so he and his brother John got there later than expected, too, so it was pretty much Mike's mom and I making them. We all made tie-die shirts for our Frandsen Family Olympic Games. Our team was Scotland so our colors were blue and white. The games were so fun and our team won, which always makes it a little more fun.  =) We played other games with the adults when the children were in bed and had such a great time talking. Lillie and Sam had a blast playing with cousins (well, second cousins) and just being kids. This was the first time getting together with the Frandsen clan that Lillie has formed friendships with some of the kids and it warmed my heart to see her off on her own playing without having to have me hold her hand. It was so great to see everyone and a good experience overall.
