Sam's 2nd Birthday

Sammy you are such a ray of sunshine in our lives. We all love you so much. You are so mischievous and often up to no good, but your happy smile, your singing and dancing, your imagination, and love well make up for the things you brake and the large messes you make. You are so active it is hard to keep up with you. You use to go on long walks while sitting in the stroller with Lillie. Now you run those same long walks that are sometimes more than a mile without showing any sign of tiring. You still love your binky and blankies and you still hum yourself to sleep every night. I turn on the baby monitor sometimes just to listen to your sweet voice. Your sweet tooth has brought on a few tantrums when we will not give you the sweetness you want but we still find it very endearing. Your little personality is definitely growing as you do. You have many favorite things like your favorite Toy Story shirt, your favorite train, your favorite seat. I know what you like and that is perfectly fine with me. You love cars, trucks, trains and pretty much everything that moves. You are very friendly and kind to most everyone. You are also a big tease and find just the right way to make your sister wail, such as taking just the right toy and run full speed away to a hiding place, and you find it so funny. You are off the growth charts for your height and many times people will start talking to you as if you were 3; you just smile and try to answer with your limited vocabulary and a big smile. You seem to learn any where between 3-10 words a day and you always surprise us with what you can say. You have a lot of phrases in your vocab and are learning more every day. And we all love you more each day too. 

 You love to eat all the colorful marshmallows out of your bowl of "Lucky Charms", aka "Marshmallow Maties".

 You love to get up and move and are all over the place, especially in your "wiggles" class, which you attended on your birthday.

 We made one of your favorite meals (spaghetti and peas) and had Elmo plates.

 Here is your birthday cake made from some of your favorite things: strawberries, blackberries, and oranges.

 You love your presents! And hugged your Tickle-me Elmo the minute you saw it. Now you sleep with it every night.

 As you love trains, you certainly love Thomas and love wearing this shirt with him on it.

 You also wanted to wear your other shirts with Elmo, and the other one with Toy Story, all at once. You do this often where you want to wear more than one shirt at a time because you love them all. This Elmo shirt in particular is so perfect for you, our little red haired monster who loves peas loves this little red haired monster who loves peas.

 You tore your cake to pieces!
