Before we headed back to Cali we stopped in Gunnison for the Frandsen Family Reunion. We were one of the first to arrive so we spent some time with the kids out in the big backyard playing with the kids on the swingset.
We had some group games such as red-rover with all the young kids and some water games. Then they broke out the four-wheelers. The kids couldn't get enough.
We then had a great evening celebrating the marriage of Grandma and Grandpa Frandsen. They shared stories of when they were younger and how they first got together.
The great grandkids got to dress up Grandma with toilet paper to mimic a wedding dress, and then they gave her some flowers and showed her off to the group. They enjoyed it.We always have great big meals together as the Frandsen Clan gets together. This is the back porch of Uncle Kelley's place. We had some Kebabs that we put together ourselves and grilled on the grills, off to the left of the pic. It was a great crowd and some great food.
Grandma and Grandpa still seemed to be in love after something like 70 years of marriage. They have been through quite a big together.
Here is a "wedding cake" that was decorated by all of the grandchildren. They each got the chance to make three little decorations on the cake and it ended up looking pretty good.
After the reunion, we picked up my sister Emily in Ephraim and headed back to California. It's nice to be back on the same side of the country as family and be within a days drive of everyone.
