June 2012

In June there was a lot of unpacking, a lot of getting settled, and a lot of  "new". One of the biggest "new" in our lives was Mike's new Scooter to travel to the three hospitals he will manly be working at. UCI Medical Center in Orange, Long Beach Memorial hospital, and Long Beach VA. 

 We also got to know our little back yard with our pool. There is an ice cream truck that pulls up and stops in front of our house EVERY day. We have made a deal with the kids they can get ice cream from it once a month, but that doesn't stop them from running to the screen door everyday to watch as it passes. A lot of fun.

We now have our own private pool in our backyard it is completely fenced off. The shallow end is about 3.5 ft. and the deep end is 8 ft. We got a solar blanket to go ever the pool that kept it about 85 degrees through most of the summer. The kids spent everyday for a few hours in it. More on that later. 

Mike also got a new toy from his job. An Ipad-2 for "work". He and the kids also spend a good deal of time playing on it too. As you can see from this fun picture. We have really had a lot of fun with it over the past few months and have found it to be a good tool in a lot of ways.

 The last week in June (this is the only real picture in June I have) my little sister came to stay with us for the summer. What a BLAST it was to have her around. I cried like a baby the last day I saw her in August but more on that later too.

 Mike got his official long white coat. I was so proud when he got it I had to take a picture right then and there. It is very suiting for the California MD to be in the attire he is in though (hehe).

 We have many more children in our neighborhood than in our last and Lillie made friends quickly with three little girls that live around us. This is one of them that lives next door. We are at a birthday party for a baby across the street. The family went all out and got a bouncy castle and a face painter.

This picture also is a great demonstration for Sams deep love for Spider-Man. He wore this costume most of the summer and a lot of the time he would even go to bed in it. It has been such a fun phase.

I wish I had more moments captured through out the month but it was a busy time, but a good time too.
