St. Patrick's Day/ Cruising the Potomac

On St. Patrick's Day we had a leprechaun come into our house. He started in Lillie's room and left little clues to where he could be in our house. 

As Lillie and Sam came down the stairs they came to find what the leprechaun had done. He put Sam's cars on the railing, he turned our large charity sign upside-down, he stacked our sofa cushions, he also stacked Lillie's horse collection, and he taped Sam's new road on the wall with his cars.  

In the end this is where the hunt led us. Our treasure was a bowl of jello, green apples, green rice crispy treats and a flower that looked like a leprechaun.

This is the note he left us. 

 We also found he had made our milk green.

 The kids got a great kick out of it all

Later that day we had some family come to visit and we had our traditional corned beef and cabbage. We almost forgot to take a picture so this is what was left on Sam's plate after the rest was gone.

 Mike's cousin Kammie came with her hubby James and their cute little girl Audrey. It was so fun to have them over.

The next week, we went on a river cruise on the Potomac. It was on my bucket list of things I wanted to do before moving. It was one of the coldest days of the month but we all really enjoyed it anyways. It was still not too cold, just a chilly wind especially out on the water.

 The name of the boat was the Nightingale. We saw some of the cherry blossoms and some amazing views of the Washington DC memorials that are quite pretty from the river.
